Job Description
Join HSBC UK as a Trade Support Analyst in our dynamic Chesterfield office. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our trading activities. You will provide critical front-to-back office support, managing the trade lifecycle for various financial products and ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile trade data across various systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Investigate and promptly resolve trade breaks, settlement issues, and operational queries.
- Liaise with front office traders, sales, middle office, and back office teams to ensure timely trade processing and issue resolution.
- Assist in the on-boarding of new products and markets, providing operational input and support.
- Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of trade support processes, system enhancements, and UAT.
- Generate and provide ad-hoc reports and analysis to management and other departments as required.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A foundational understanding of financial markets, products, and trade lifecycle.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in a trade support, operations, or middle office role within financial services.
- Familiarity with trading platforms and market data systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon).
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance frameworks.
