Job Description
Are you a budding creative with a passion for design, eager to kickstart your career in a dynamic studio environment? Uniform is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Studio Junior Intern to join our vibrant team. This is a fantastic paid opportunity for someone with little to no prior professional experience, offering hands-on learning, mentorship, and the chance to contribute to exciting projects. You will gain invaluable insight into the day-to-day operations of a busy creative agency, supporting our designers and project managers while developing your skills across various creative disciplines. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, has a proactive attitude, and a genuine interest in the creative industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design team with various tasks including research, asset management, and file organisation.
- Assist in the preparation of design presentations and client materials.
- Learn and apply basic design software skills under guidance (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Contribute ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions.
- Help maintain the studio environment, ensuring it's organised and inspiring.
- Undertake administrative duties as required to support studio operations.
- Actively participate in learning opportunities and mentorship programs.
Required Skills
- Strong interest and passion for design and the creative industry.
- Eagerness to learn new software and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of creative principles (e.g., colour, typography) is a plus, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant design, art, or media program (or equivalent self-taught experience).
- A portfolio (even a small, personal one) showcasing creative potential.
- Familiarity with Mac OS environments.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a bonus.
