Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Contracts Manager to join our growing team. This critical role involves managing and administering all contractual aspects of our diverse portfolio of construction and technology-driven projects. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal requirements, mitigating risks, and safeguarding the company’s interests throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of contracts, including prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and technology agreements.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual matters, obligations, and risk management strategies.
- Manage contract changes, claims, and disputes, ensuring timely resolution and protecting company interests.
- Collaborate closely with legal counsel, project managers, procurement teams, and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of contract management processes and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in construction and technology contracting.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts management, preferably within the construction, engineering, or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and administration.
- Thorough understanding of contract law, risk management principles, and commercial terms and conditions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual documents and identify key issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Proficiency with contract management software and standard office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Legal Studies, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is a significant advantage.
- Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CCCM, CPCM) or Project Management (PMP).
- Experience with international projects or managing contracts across different jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or other standard international contract forms.
- Specific experience with technology implementation contracts or data center construction projects.
