Job Description

EF Education First is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Work From Home ESL Teachers to join our rapidly growing online team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to teach English to diverse learners from the comfort of your home in Mount Gambier, South Australia, or anywhere else in Australia. As an ESL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to non-native speakers of various age groups and proficiency levels. You will utilize our comprehensive curriculum and resources to create a dynamic online learning experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, technologically proficient, and possess a genuine desire to help students achieve their language goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and interactive online English lessons to students of all ages and levels using EF's proprietary platform.
• Provide constructive, personalized feedback to students to aid their language development.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Utilize EF Education First's comprehensive online teaching platform and resources effectively.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging learning environment.
• Communicate effectively and promptly with students and administrative staff.
• Manage your schedule and ensure punctuality for all assigned classes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.

Required Skills

• Exceptional fluency in English, with clear pronunciation and strong grammatical understanding.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection, a functioning computer (laptop or desktop), and a quality headset with a microphone.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort with online communication and virtual classroom tools.
• A quiet, professional, and well-lit teaching environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for teaching and helping others learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in any field.
• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or other ESL teaching certification (or willingness to obtain one).
• Prior experience in teaching English as a second language, either online or in a classroom setting.
