Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Banker to join our dynamic team in Kingston upon Hull. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, and strategic advisory mandates. The successful candidate will play a critical role in all phases of deal execution, from initial client engagement and financial analysis to negotiation and closing. You will be instrumental in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the strategic objectives of our Investment Banking division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute M&A transactions, debt and equity financings, and other strategic advisory mandates.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, valuations, and presentations.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and industry research.
  • Prepare pitch books, confidential information memoranda, and other transaction-related documents.
  • Assist in client origination and relationship management.
  • Collaborate with senior bankers and other internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting, valuation methodologies, and corporate finance principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • CFA designation or progress towards completion.
  • Experience with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, or CapIQ.
  • Prior experience working with clients in the industrial, infrastructure, or financial institutions sectors.
