Job Description

Are you a compassionate and reliable individual looking to start a rewarding career in healthcare? Harmony Haven Services is seeking dedicated Residential Care Workers for our night shift team in Ottawa. This entry-level position requires no prior experience, as we provide full, comprehensive training to ensure you are confident and competent in providing high-quality care. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents throughout the night, contributing to a peaceful and supportive home environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care and support to residents during overnight hours, adhering to individualized care plans.
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including hygiene, mobility, and toileting, as needed.
  • Monitor residents' health and well-being throughout the night, documenting observations and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Conduct regular rounds to ensure resident safety, security, and a tidy environment.
  • Administer medication as per training and established protocols.
  • Respond promptly and calmly to resident calls and emergencies, providing initial assistance and escalating as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential resident records, including shift reports and incident logs.
  • Support a calm and restful atmosphere for residents during the night.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
