Job Description

Marriott International is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sponsorship & VIP Experience Intern to join our dynamic team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is an incredible opportunity for an aspiring professional to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of hospitality, event management, and premium guest services. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and enhancement of sponsorship activations and VIP guest experiences across various initiatives. You will learn the intricacies of managing high-profile relationships, delivering unparalleled service, and contributing to the overall success of our brand’s presence at key events. This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship, helping you develop a strong foundation in event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination and execution of sponsorship activations, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Support the planning and delivery of exclusive VIP experiences, including guest communications, itinerary management, and on-site assistance.
  • Conduct research on potential sponsors, industry trends, and innovative VIP engagement strategies.
  • Help prepare pre-event briefings, post-event reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sponsorship and VIP guest interactions and activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, events) to ensure seamless integration of sponsorship and VIP initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to the Sponsorship and VIP Experience team.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for hospitality, events, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in customer service, event volunteering, or a hospitality setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM software or event management platforms is beneficial.
