Job Description
Join RBC Capital Markets as a Cryptocurrency Trading Intern within our innovative Digital Assets team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the fast-paced world of digital currencies and blockchain technology. Based in our Gatineau office, you will work closely with experienced traders and analysts, gaining practical experience in market research, data analysis, and strategy development for various cryptocurrencies. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship, fostering your understanding of market microstructure, risk management, and regulatory landscapes specific to digital assets. You will contribute to real-time market monitoring and gain exposure to proprietary trading tools, setting a strong foundation for a career in fintech and digital asset trading.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the trading desk with in-depth market research, data collection, and trend analysis for major cryptocurrencies and emerging digital assets.
- Support the development, backtesting, and optimization of quantitative trading strategies.
- Monitor global market news, events, and regulatory developments impacting the digital asset ecosystem.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on market performance, trading opportunities, and potential risk factors.
- Learn and utilize proprietary trading platforms and analytical tools for data interpretation and trade support.
- Collaborate with technology, research, and compliance teams to enhance digital asset infrastructure and insights.
- Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project discussions, contributing fresh perspectives and ideas.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated genuine interest and foundational understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital assets.
