Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Windscreen Repairer to join our dynamic team in Manchester. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assessing damage, repairing chips and cracks in vehicle windscreens, and occasionally assisting with full replacements. You will use the latest technology and techniques to ensure every repair meets our high standards of quality and safety. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to providing efficient and reliable solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle glass damage to determine the appropriate repair method.
- Perform professional windscreen chip and crack repairs using specialist tools and techniques.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide clear explanations of work to be done, and offer solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory of repair materials and report needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in automotive glass repair or a related field.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Glazing or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration systems.
