Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented Repossession Agency Dispatcher for our night shift operations. This fast-paced role is critical to our field operations, involving constant communication with recovery agents, managing routes, and ensuring timely and compliant repossession assignments. You will be the central hub for real-time information, adapting quickly to changing situations and maintaining clear, concise communication throughout your shift. This role requires excellent multi-tasking abilities and a strong ability to make sound decisions under pressure during critical overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and dispatch repossession assignments to field agents efficiently.
- Maintain constant communication with field agents, providing support and real-time updates.
- Monitor agent locations and progress, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and legal guidelines.
- Log all activities, communications, and incidents accurately and thoroughly.
- Handle inbound calls from agents and clients, resolving issues or escalating as needed.
- Process and verify paperwork related to repossessions.
- React quickly to emergent situations, including agent assistance requests or unexpected operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal repossession laws and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a dispatch or similar high-pressure coordination role (e.g., logistics, emergency services, security).
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the St. Louis metropolitan area.
- Proficiency in dispatch software and standard office applications.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in fast-paced and stressful situations.
- Excellent problem-solving and and decision-making abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in asset recovery, tow truck dispatch, or logistics within a regulated industry.
- Associate's degree or relevant certifications in dispatch or communications.
- Familiarity with state and federal repossession regulations.
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) a plus.
