Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Greengrocer Hand to join our team for part-time morning shifts. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring our fresh produce section is well-stocked, attractive, and provides an excellent shopping experience for our customers. You will handle and display a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, maintain cleanliness, and assist customers with their queries. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic retail environment and is passionate about fresh food.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store fresh produce deliveries efficiently and safely.
- Sort, trim, and display fruits and vegetables according to company standards.
- Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and appealing throughout the morning.
- Rotate stock regularly to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
- Monitor product quality and remove any damaged or spoiled items.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide recommendations, and offer excellent service.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised fresh produce section.
- Operate basic equipment like pallet trucks or display trolleys safely.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
