Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Fonterra’s Morwell facility as a Night Shift Factory Worker. This part-time role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading global dairy company. We are seeking reliable and dedicated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to our production process. No prior experience is required for this entry-level position, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success and development within our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Assist with the packing, labelling, and preparation of finished goods for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, strictly following food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Load and unload materials, components, and finished products as required.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality deviations to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality for consistent night shift attendance
- Strong work ethic and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Basic physical fitness to perform standing, lifting (up to 15kg), and repetitive tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Commitment to adhering to all safety, quality, and hygiene regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (not essential, but valued)
- A current forklift licence (advantageous, but training can be provided)
- Understanding of basic food safety principles or HACCP
