Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Graphic Finisher to join our production team on a casual day roster. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in the final stages of our signage production, ensuring all finished products meet our stringent quality standards. This involves a variety of finishing tasks such as trimming, laminating, mounting, and weeding printed graphics and vinyl. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and a proactive approach to work. While some experience in a production environment is preferred, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are paramount. This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Precisely trim and cut printed graphics and vinyl using various tools, including cutters, laminators, and trimmers.
• Laminate printed materials to protect and enhance their appearance and durability.
• Mount finished graphics onto various substrates such such as ACM, PVC, foam board, and corflute.
• Accurately weed vinyl cut letters and graphics according to specifications.
• Operate and maintain finishing equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal performance.
• Perform thorough quality checks on all finished products to identify and rectify any imperfections.
• Assist with general workshop duties, including organising materials, stock take, and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
• Collaborate effectively with the design, print, and installation teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely project completion.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines.

Required Skills

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a production, manufacturing, or workshop environment (e.g., printing, signage, fabrication).
• Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for precision and accuracy.
• Strong manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and instructions accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of measurement tools and techniques.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift, and move materials up to 15-20kg as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience specifically within the signage or large format printing industry.
• Familiarity with different types of vinyl, laminates, and rigid substrates.
• Experience operating large format laminators, plotters, or digital cutters.
• Current Australian driver's license.
