Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Professor to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will be a leader in their field, demonstrating excellence in research, teaching, and academic leadership. You will contribute significantly to the intellectual life of the university, mentor junior faculty, and inspire the next generation of professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct high-quality, impactful research, securing external funding and disseminating findings through peer-reviewed publications and conferences.
- Develop and deliver engaging and innovative teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
- Provide academic leadership within your department/faculty, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to strategic planning.
- Supervise doctoral students, guiding them through their research journeys and supporting their professional development.
- Contribute to curriculum development and review, ensuring programmes remain current, relevant, and aligned with industry needs.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including industry partners, professional bodies, and the wider community, to promote the university's mission.
- Participate in administrative duties and committees as required, contributing to the effective governance of the university.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
- Extensive track record of significant research outputs, including publications in high-impact journals and successful grant applications.
- Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching and curriculum development.
- Proven ability to provide academic leadership and mentorship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate with diverse groups.
- Ability to secure and manage external research funding.
