Job Description
The University of Saskatchewan is actively seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our esteemed faculty and staff within the Education, Academia, and Social Work sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for undergraduate and/or graduate courses in relevant fields.
- Conduct original research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and secure external funding.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, fostering their professional and personal development.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and service initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and community partnerships.
- Engage in professional development activities to maintain expertise in your field.
- Contribute to the strategic goals of the College or Department.
- Support social work initiatives, student welfare, and community engagement programs as required.
Required Skills
- Master's degree or higher in Education, Social Work, or a related academic discipline.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the post-secondary level or relevant professional experience in social work.
- Strong research capabilities and a publication record suitable for your career stage (for academic roles).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and practice.
- Eligibility for professional registration/licensure in Saskatchewan, if applicable to the role (e.g., social work).
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field (Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, etc.).
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including international students.
- Demonstrated success in securing research grants or external funding.
- Proficiency in educational technologies and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Prior experience navigating visa and immigration processes for professional work.
