Job Description

The University of Saskatchewan is actively seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our esteemed faculty and staff within the Education, Academia, and Social Work sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for undergraduate and/or graduate courses in relevant fields.
  • Conduct original research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and secure external funding.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, fostering their professional and personal development.
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and community partnerships.
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain expertise in your field.
  • Contribute to the strategic goals of the College or Department.
  • Support social work initiatives, student welfare, and community engagement programs as required.

Required Skills

  • Master's degree or higher in Education, Social Work, or a related academic discipline.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience at the post-secondary level or relevant professional experience in social work.
  • Strong research capabilities and a publication record suitable for your career stage (for academic roles).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and practice.
  • Eligibility for professional registration/licensure in Saskatchewan, if applicable to the role (e.g., social work).

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field (Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, etc.).
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including international students.
  • Demonstrated success in securing research grants or external funding.
  • Proficiency in educational technologies and innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Prior experience navigating visa and immigration processes for professional work.
