Job Description
Join Augusta University Health as a pivotal Anesthesiologist, where you will provide comprehensive anesthesia services across a diverse range of surgical specialties. This critical role involves managing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort. We are actively seeking experienced and board-certified Anesthesiologists committed to delivering the highest standards of medical care. Key Responsibilities
- Administering various types of anesthesia (general, regional, local) for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Conducting pre-operative patient evaluations, including medical history review and physical examinations.
- Developing and implementing individualized anesthesia plans.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout procedures.
- Managing post-operative care, including pain management and recovery.
- Collaborating effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participating in on-call rotations and emergency situations.
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical records.
- Engaging in continuous professional development and medical education.
Required Skills
- Medical Doctor (MD/DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Current, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Georgia.
- DEA registration.
- Exceptional clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty of Anesthesiology (e.g., Cardiac, Pediatric, Regional Anesthesia, Pain Management).
- Experience in an academic medical center environment.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
