Job Description

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a proactive individual eager to step into the dynamic world of event management. As an Exhibition Assistant, you will play a crucial supporting role in the successful planning, setup, and execution of various exhibitions and events across Blackburn and the wider Lancashire region. You will work closely with our experienced event managers, gaining hands-on experience in all facets of exhibition coordination. We provide comprehensive training and support to ensure your growth and success in this fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and dismantling of exhibition booths and event spaces.
  • Provide on-site support during events, including managing registration desks and directing attendees.
  • Help coordinate logistics with vendors, suppliers, and venue staff.
  • Prepare event materials, signage, and promotional collateral.
  • Respond to exhibitor and attendee inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of event details, inventory, and attendee information.
  • Support the marketing team with event promotion activities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the events team.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Physical capability to assist with event setup (lifting, moving equipment).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A levels or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or support role (even if non-events related).
  • Full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable due to varied event locations).
