Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious DAO Governance & Operations Intern to join our innovation team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore the cutting-edge intersection of traditional finance and decentralised technologies. You will gain hands-on experience in understanding, analysing, and contributing to the operational frameworks and governance models of DAOs. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about blockchain, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to real-world applications in a dynamic environment. Full training and mentorship will be provided, focusing on foundational knowledge of DAO structures, operational best practices, and governance mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and analysing existing DAO governance structures and operational models.
- Contribute to the development of internal frameworks and best practices for interacting with or building DAO-like structures.
- Support the team in evaluating potential applications of DAO principles within the financial sector.
- Participate in discussions and brainstorming sessions on decentralised finance (DeFi) and blockchain innovations.
- Help document findings, create reports, and present insights to the innovation team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the implications of decentralised technologies.
- Learn to identify and mitigate risks associated with decentralised governance.
- Engage with relevant community forums and resources to stay updated on industry trends.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated interest in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralised finance (DeFi).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to conduct independent research and synthesise complex information.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus, but not required.
- Foundational knowledge of economic principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
- Participation in blockchain-related clubs, hackathons, or personal projects.
- Familiarity with various blockchain protocols and ecosystems (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot).
- Experience with community management or online moderation in a decentralised context.
