Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Worker for our Night Shift team in Pittsburgh. Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene, as needed during the night.
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, responding to their needs and requests with kindness.
- Document care provided and observations accurately in resident records.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely and calm manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the comfort and well-being of residents.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work the designated night shift hours reliably.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform care tasks.
- Willingness to learn and commit to comprehensive training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver (not required, but a plus).
- CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if not certified).
- Basic understanding of elder care principles.
