Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? Hays Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Portsmouth. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students complete set work.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding and child protection.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents where appropriate.
- Provide basic support and guidance to students regarding their learning tasks.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students under your supervision.
- Report any incidents or concerns in line with school protocols.
