Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior E-learning Developer to join our dynamic learning and development team at our Newcastle upon Tyne Quayside office. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about digital education and looking to kickstart their career in e-learning development. You will work closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create engaging, interactive, and effective online learning content. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of e-learning modules and digital learning resources.
- Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to create interactive content under guidance.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to translate learning objectives into engaging visual and interactive elements.
- Support the testing and quality assurance of e-learning materials to ensure functionality and accessibility.
- Maintain and update existing e-learning courses and digital assets.
- Research and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance the e-learning experience.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new learning solutions.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of e-learning principles and instructional design concepts (e.g., from academic projects or self-study).
- Familiarity with multimedia tools (e.g., basic image editing, video editing software).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Education Technology, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Some experience with e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate (personal projects welcome).
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for web-based content.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
