Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) to join our esteemed network, operating within the Stoke-on-Trent and wider Staffordshire area. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven individual to manage and grow a client portfolio, providing tailored financial advice on a range of products including investments, pensions, mortgages, and protection. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their financial objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial fact-finds and analyses to identify client needs across various financial planning areas.
  • Construct and present bespoke financial plans and recommendations for investments, pensions, protection, and other financial products.
  • Ensure all advice is provided in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for business development and client acquisition.
  • Regularly review client portfolios and financial plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet evolving circumstances and market conditions.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, product developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and adhere to all data protection policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Financial Advisor, ideally within an independent or restricted environment.
  • Achieved a minimum of Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, pensions, and protection solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong aptitude for business development.
  • Ability to work autonomously while adhering to network guidelines and compliance frameworks.
  • Valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) or ability to obtain immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Attained Chartered Financial Planner status (or working towards).
  • Specialist qualifications such as CeMAP, ER1, J04, J05, G60.
  • Existing transferable client bank.
  • Experience with financial planning software and CRM systems.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
