Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hematologist to join our dynamic clinical development team in Cambridge, MA. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of clinical trials for novel therapies targeting hematological disorders. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of medical innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams of scientists, clinicians, and regulatory experts to bring life-changing treatments to patients worldwide. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing our understanding of disease mechanisms and translating scientific discoveries into impactful clinical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hematological expertise and medical oversight for clinical development programs from Phase 1 through Phase 4.
- Contribute to the design and review of clinical trial protocols, investigator brochures, and informed consent forms.
- Monitor patient safety and clinical trial data, including review of adverse events and serious adverse events.
- Collaborate with clinical operations, regulatory affairs, biostatistics, and research teams.
- Participate in interactions with regulatory authorities, ethics committees, and external experts.
- Present clinical trial data and strategic insights at internal meetings and external scientific conferences.
- Serve as a medical resource for internal teams and external investigators regarding study-related inquiries.
- Stay abreast of current medical and scientific literature, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory requirements in hematology.
Required Skills
- MD or equivalent medical degree with board certification in Hematology.
- Valid medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical or research experience post-fellowship in Hematology.
- Demonstrated understanding of drug development processes, clinical trial design, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry setting.
- Familiarity with rare hematological disorders or gene therapy approaches.
- Publication record in peer-reviewed hematology journals.
- Experience interacting with key opinion leaders and external scientific communities.
- Master's degree (e.g., MPH, MS) or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
