Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Nurse to join our dynamic team in Spokane. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community health assessments and participate in public health planning.
- Provide direct nursing care, health screenings, and immunizations in clinics, homes, and community settings.
- Educate individuals, families, and groups on health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
- Investigate communicable diseases, implement control measures, and provide contact tracing.
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and prepare reports as required.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Advocate for policies and programs that promote community health and well-being.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in public health, community health, or home health nursing.
- Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish, Russian, or Ukrainian).
- Certification in Public Health (CPH).
