Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous individual to join our operations team as a Tennis Court Sweeper & Line Painter. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys an active role, and is committed to maintaining high standards of court readiness for our tennis enthusiasts. Full training will be provided for all equipment and techniques. You will be responsible for ensuring our outdoor and indoor tennis courts are impeccably clean, well-maintained, and properly lined according to official regulations. This is a crucial role that directly contributes to the quality of our members’ experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily sweeping and debris removal from all tennis courts.
- Inspect courts for any damage or irregularities and report findings to management.
- Accurately re-paint tennis court lines using specialized equipment and stencils, ensuring adherence to official court dimensions.
- Clean and maintain court surroundings, including benches, net posts, and spectator areas.
- Monitor court conditions and proactively address any issues that may impact playability or safety.
- Assist with minor repairs to court surfaces or equipment as directed.
- Ensure all maintenance tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during all tasks.
- Collaborate with the broader maintenance team on general facility upkeep when needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including sweeping, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and master new skills and equipment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an outdoor or sports facility maintenance role is an asset, but not required.
- Familiarity with tennis court dimensions or sports facility operations.
