Job Description
Are you a highly organized individual with a strong work ethic looking to kickstart your career in retail? Foot Locker in Gatineau is seeking a dedicated and energetic Shoe Store Stock Runner to join our dynamic team. This entry-level, fast-paced, behind-the-scenes role is crucial to our store’s success, ensuring our sales floor is always stocked with the latest footwear. You will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving shipments, organizing the stock room, and assisting the sales team by efficiently retrieving products. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive, unpack, and organize new merchandise shipments.
- Stock shelves and ensure product availability on the sales floor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stock room environment.
- Accurately process transfers and returns of merchandise.
- Assist sales associates with product retrieval from the stock room.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with discrepancy resolution.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail backroom setting (not required, but a plus).
