Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and friendly Security Guard for a full-time, on-site position within a prestigious gated community in Witney, Oxfordshire. This is primarily a sit-down role focused on monitoring access, operating security systems, and providing a welcoming presence to residents and authorized visitors. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. This role offers a friendly and supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor access points and control entry/exit of residents and visitors.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and security checks.
- Conduct regular patrols of the community grounds (minimal, as per sit-down nature of role).
- Respond to alarms and incidents according to established protocols.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities.
- Assist residents and visitors with inquiries in a polite and helpful manner.
- Enforce community rules and regulations to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic computer proficiency for log entry and system monitoring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in various situations
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security or customer service role
- First Aid certification
- Knowledge of local area and community layout
