Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiologist to join our professional team in Islington, London. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to provide comprehensive audiological services, including diagnostic assessments, hearing aid fittings, and ongoing patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and diagnostic tests.
- Evaluate hearing loss and recommend appropriate solutions, including hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
- Fit, dispense, and program hearing aids, ensuring optimal patient comfort and performance.
- Provide detailed patient counselling on hearing aid usage, maintenance, and realistic expectations.
- Perform routine adjustments, repairs, and follow-up care for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in audiology and hearing aid technology.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) or eligibility to register.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnostic audiology and hearing aid dispensing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong patient counselling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using audiological equipment and software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate experience in a clinical audiology setting.
- Experience with a variety of hearing aid manufacturers and technologies.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
