Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Industrial Degreaser to join our team on the Gold Coast. This is a demanding but highly rewarding role involving heavy-duty cleaning and degreasing of industrial machinery, equipment, and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency in various industrial settings. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough degreasing and cleaning of industrial machinery, components, and surfaces using specialized equipment and cleaning agents.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate and maintain a variety of industrial cleaning equipment, including high-pressure washers, scrubbers, and vacuum systems.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns regarding equipment or facilities.
- Manage chemical inventories, ensuring safe storage and appropriate usage according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete cleaning projects efficiently and to a high standard.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety regulations and practices.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for understanding safety manuals and chemical labels.
- A 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an industrial environment or a role requiring physical labour.
- Forklift license or other relevant machinery operation certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
