Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Cable Pulling Labourers to join our growing team in Taree, NSW. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position offering high pay for individuals committed to safe and efficient work. You will be an integral part of our infrastructure projects, assisting with the installation and maintenance of critical cabling systems. Full training will be provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. This role is ideal for physically fit individuals looking for stable employment with opportunities for development within a respected industry leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and efficient pulling and installation of various types of cables (e.g., fibre optic, copper) in trenches, conduits, and overhead systems.
- Support skilled technicians and electricians on site, following instructions precisely and safely.
- Prepare work sites, including digging trenches, clearing pathways, and setting up safety barriers and signage.
- Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform general labouring duties as required to support project completion and site readiness.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and relevant Australian standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including tools and vehicles.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Current Australian Driver's License and own reliable transport.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- White Card (Construction Induction Card – essential for site access, can be obtained upon hire).
- Previous experience in a similar labouring or outdoor work environment.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience operating basic hand tools and power tools safely.
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications or civil infrastructure.
