Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our dynamic HR team in San Jose, CA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various HR functions within a leading global technology company. You will work closely with experienced HR professionals, supporting critical initiatives and contributing to a positive employee experience. This role is designed for students seeking practical experience and is open to individuals needing academic credit, with flexible hours to accommodate your studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, posting job openings, and managing applicant tracking.
  • Support the HR team with onboarding new employees and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices, compliance, and industry trends.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Assist with organizing and coordinating HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department.
  • Participate in special HR projects as assigned, gaining exposure to various areas of HR.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous exposure to HR concepts through coursework or volunteer experience.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) is a plus.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
