Job Description
Are you passionate about cars and looking to start a rewarding career in the automotive industry? Supercheap Auto is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Car Detailing Assistants. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – we provide full, comprehensive training! You’ll learn the art and science of professional car detailing, helping us ensure every vehicle shines and meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and apply various car detailing techniques, including washing, waxing, polishing, and interior cleaning.
- Assist senior detailers in preparing vehicles for delivery or display.
- Perform exterior cleaning tasks such as pressure washing, hand washing, and tire shining.
- Carry out interior cleaning, including vacuuming, carpet extraction, and surface wiping.
- Maintain a clean and organised detailing bay, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the detailing team to meet daily targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Continuously learn new techniques and best practices in car detailing through ongoing training.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, ensuring a positive experience.
Required Skills
- Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (P1 or full license).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry.
- Previous experience in a role requiring manual tasks or attention to detail (e.g., cleaning, general labour).
