Job Description
Join Fremantle Aquatics & Pool Services, a trusted name in maintaining pristine swimming environments across Fremantle and surrounding areas. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Swimming Pool Technician to join our growing team. As a Swimming Pool Technician, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of residential and commercial swimming pools. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills to ensure our clients enjoy safe, clean, and fully functional pools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces.
- Test and balance water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.) and apply necessary chemicals.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and automatic cleaners.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on pool systems to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
- Educate clients on proper pool care and equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate service records and inventory of parts and chemicals.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in pool maintenance, general plumbing, or a related trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25kg, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily route efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or similar certification.
- Experience with advanced pool equipment and automation systems.
- First Aid certification.
