Transport Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Aviation Safety Inspector Assistant to join our dedicated team. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training and an exceptional opportunity to learn the intricacies of aviation safety regulations and inspection processes from experienced professionals. You will provide crucial administrative and technical support to Aviation Safety Inspectors, contributing directly to the safety and security of Canadian airspace. No prior experience in aviation is required; we will provide all necessary training to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Aviation Safety Inspectors with administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Organize and maintain inspection reports, safety data, and regulatory documentation.
- Conduct preliminary research on aviation incidents or compliance issues under supervision.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Learn and understand Canadian aviation regulations (CARs) and Transport Canada policies.
- Accompany inspectors on field visits to observe inspection procedures and gain practical experience (as training progresses).
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as directed.
- Utilize various software applications for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications
