Job Description
Join the dedicated team at Busselton Health Campus as Casual Linen Staff for day shifts. This essential role ensures a clean, well-stocked, and organised linen supply throughout our facility, directly contributing to patient comfort and the efficient operation of our hospital. We are looking for reliable individuals who are keen to learn and contribute to a vital service. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. If you are physically capable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working as part of a team, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect used linen from various departments and patient areas.
- Sort and prepare linen for washing according to established procedures.
- Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently (after training).
- Fold, iron, and stack clean linen.
- Distribute fresh linen to wards, clinics, and other required areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the linen room and laundry areas.
- Monitor linen stock levels and report discrepancies.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
- Assist with other general duties as required by management.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 15kg) repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospital or laundry environment (not essential, but an advantage).
- Understanding of basic hygiene and infection control principles.
