Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse Assistant to join our vibrant team in Clifton Village, Bristol. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about childcare, eager to support the development and well-being of young children, and keen to work in a supportive and engaging nursery setting. You will play a crucial role in assisting our qualified nursery nurses, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment for all children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist nursery nurses in daily routines and activities.
- Support children's learning and development through play and educational experiences.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy, and stimulating environment.
- Assist with meal times, nappy changing, and personal care as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Contribute to observation and assessment of children's development.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
- Basic knowledge of early years foundation stage (EYFS) framework.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting (including voluntary work).
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
