Job Description
Midlands Solar Solutions is seeking a dedicated and reliable Solar Panel Cleaning Technician to join our growing team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically active, and are looking for immediate employment in a dynamic and environmentally conscious industry. As a Solar Panel Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of solar panels across various client sites. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for this specialized role. We are looking for individuals who are punctual, thorough, and committed to high standards of work and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of solar panels using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Inspect solar panels for any visible damage or operational issues and report findings.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment responsibly and effectively.
- Work efficiently and professionally on client properties, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Travel to various client locations primarily within Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and supplies used.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work safely and comfortably at heights using ladders or elevated platforms.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Valid UK driving license with a clean record (essential for travel to sites).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning techniques and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, window cleaning, or a similar physical role.
- Knowledge of basic health and safety practices.
- Experience operating power washing equipment.
- First Aid certification.
- Working at Height certification.
