Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join our team as a Face to Face Customer Service Officer. While the title reflects roles similar to VicRoads or Service NSW, this position is focused on providing exceptional in-person service for a range of government and administrative enquiries within a busy service centre environment in Launceston. You will be the first point of contact for members of the public, assisting with various transactions, providing information, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped to handle diverse customer needs and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide face-to-face assistance with enquiries and transactions.
- Process applications, renewals, and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Explain complex government policies, procedures, and documentation clearly to customers.
- Verify identity documents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage customer queues and waiting times effectively.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve service delivery goals.
- Adhere to all relevant privacy and data security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a face-to-face customer service role, ideally within a government or regulated environment.
- Experience handling cash and EFTPOS transactions.
- Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or Customer Service.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
