Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in agriculture and learn valuable hands-on skills? Costa Group in Coffs Harbour is seeking a dedicated Farm Irrigation Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn about modern farming techniques, specifically in irrigation systems. You will receive comprehensive on-site training and be an integral part of ensuring our crops receive optimal water supply, contributing directly to the quality and yield of our produce. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems, including drip lines, sprinklers, and pumps.
- Monitor irrigation schedules and water usage to ensure efficient and effective watering.
- Inspect fields regularly for leaks, blockages, or other issues in the irrigation infrastructure.
- Perform general farm duties as required, including planting, harvesting support, and field maintenance.
- Operate basic farm machinery and tools safely after receiving appropriate training.
- Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities and any observed anomalies.
