Job Description
Are you a motivated student eager to dive into the world of supply chain automation? Linx Logistics Australia offers an exciting opportunity for a Student Supply Intern with a focus on Logistics Automation. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in optimizing supply chain processes, implementing new technologies, and contributing to projects that enhance operational efficiency. You will work closely with our experienced teams, learning about the intricacies of modern logistics and the power of automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis of current supply chain processes to identify areas for automation and improvement.
- Support the implementation and testing of new automation tools and technologies.
- Contribute to data collection and analysis to measure the impact of automation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain documentation for new and existing automated processes.
- Collaborate with supply chain, IT, and operations teams on various projects.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for innovative logistics solutions.
- Provide general administrative support to the supply chain department as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated interest in logistics, supply chain, and automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Previous academic project work or coursework related to automation or process improvement.
- Experience with process mapping software (e.g., Visio).
