Job Description
Are you enthusiastic about healthy eating and looking for an entry point into the culinary world? Riverland Fresh Kitchen is seeking a dedicated and energetic Salad Prep Hand to join our team in Renmark. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn and contribute to a healthy and fast-paced kitchen environment. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role, focusing on fresh ingredient handling, food safety, and efficient preparation techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing, chopping, and preparing a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits for salads and other menu items.
- Portioning ingredients accurately according to recipe specifications.
- Assisting with the preparation of dressings and sauces.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times.
- Adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Supporting other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation.
- Receiving and storing ingredients properly to maintain freshness.
Required Skills
- No prior kitchen experience required – full training provided.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic understanding of hygiene principles.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
Preferred Qualifications
