Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Admin Manager to join our team in Busselton. This pivotal role involves overseeing the administrative functions of a school within the State Department of Education, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures, and providing essential support to school leadership, staff, and the wider school community. The successful candidate will manage office operations, coordinate resources, and contribute to a positive and productive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative operations, including record-keeping, correspondence, and office supplies.
  • Oversee student enrollment and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process financial transactions, requisitions, and maintain budget records in conjunction with school leadership.
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, and parent-teacher interviews.
  • Provide administrative support to the Principal and other teaching staff.
  • Manage school communication channels, including newsletters, notices, and parent inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Education policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Supervise and train administrative support staff as required.
  • Maintain a welcoming and efficient front office environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office management role, preferably within an educational or public sector environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience with record management and database systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Western Australian Department of Education administrative systems (e.g., SIS, PMKEY).
  • Current Working With Children (WWC) Check.
