Job Description
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our Mount Gambier Distribution Centre as Voice Pickers. This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity to contribute to our essential supply chain operations. As a Voice Picker, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders using advanced voice-activated technology. No prior experience in voice picking is required, as full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in the role. We are looking for individuals who are committed to safety, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate voice picking equipment to accurately locate and retrieve products from warehouse locations.
- Ensure all picked items match order specifications for quantity and type.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in line with daily targets.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet distribution centre objectives.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical fitness, including the ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items up to 15kg, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment (highly regarded but not essential).
- Experience with voice picking technology (a bonus, but training will be provided).
- Current forklift license (LF or LO) (advantageous for future opportunities, not required for initial role).
