Job Description
Ventia is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Road Maintenance team as a Road Barrier Installer. This role focuses on the installation, repair, and maintenance of road safety barriers across the Werribee region. Working primarily on night shifts, this position offers high pay and the opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring road safety for the community. Full training will be provided to the right candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, physical capability, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and repair various types of road safety barriers, including guardrails and crash attenuators.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety procedures and traffic management plans.
- Conduct pre-start checks on equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour.
- Ability to work consistent night shifts (typically 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual essential).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Traffic Management accreditation (e.g., Implement Traffic Management Plans).
- Heavy Vehicle (HR/HC) Driver's License.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools in a construction or trade setting.
- First Aid certification.
