Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting way to spend your summer, earn some money, and be part of the vibrant event scene in Bendigo? Aussie Festivals & Events is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Event Crew Members for casual, temporary work focused on festival set-up. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in events! We provide full training and a supportive team environment. If you’re physically fit, a great team player, and eager to contribute to making Bendigo’s summer festivals a huge success, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the safe and efficient set-up and dismantle of event infrastructure, including staging, marquees, fencing, and signage.
  • Loading and unloading equipment and materials, sometimes heavy.
  • Following instructions from Event Managers and Team Leaders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout the set-up and pack-down phases.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Working collaboratively with fellow crew members and other event personnel.
  • Performing general labour tasks as required to support event operations.

Required Skills

  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25kg).
  • Availability for casual shifts, including some evenings and weekends, particularly during peak festival periods.
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current valid driver's license (manual preferred).
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Experience operating basic power tools (training can be provided).
  • Previous experience in a physical labour role or outdoor work.
  • First Aid certification.
