Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Admissions Officer to join our team at the Murray River Institute of TAFE. This vital role is responsible for guiding prospective students through the application and enrollment process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from initial inquiry to orientation. The Admissions Officer acts as a primary point of contact, providing accurate information about courses, entry requirements, and application procedures, while upholding the institution’s commitment to accessibility and student support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the student application and admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment completion.
  • Provide comprehensive and accurate information to prospective students about courses, entry criteria, fees, and campus life.
  • Process applications efficiently, ensuring all required documentation is submitted and verified.
  • Conduct interviews or information sessions with applicants as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all programs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to understand course availability and specific program needs.
  • Utilize and maintain the student management system (SMS) with high accuracy.
  • Assist with orientation programs and initial student support services.
  • Prepare reports on admissions statistics and trends.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person in a timely and professional manner.
