Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Hotel Maintenance Helper to join our team at Quest Port Augusta. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn practical skills and contribute to the smooth operation of our hotel. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with a variety of maintenance tasks, and receiving comprehensive training in the use of tools and basic repairs. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled technicians with routine maintenance and repair tasks across the hotel property.
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities, under supervision.
- Learn and apply proper techniques for using various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance workshops and storage areas.
- Report any major maintenance issues or safety hazards to the maintenance supervisor promptly.
- Support the team in responding to guest requests for maintenance assistance.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and hotel policies.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or a desire to learn them.
- Good physical condition and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
