Job Description

Embark on an exciting culinary journey as an Apprentice Cook with The Coast Bar & Restaurant! This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for individuals with a genuine passion for food and a desire to learn the art of cooking. No prior experience is required – we are looking for enthusiastic individuals eager to develop their skills from the ground up. You will receive comprehensive, hands-on training under the guidance of our experienced Head Chef and kitchen team, learning all aspects of professional kitchen operations, various cooking techniques, and food preparation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
  • Learn and apply various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, baking, and sautéing under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation, ensuring high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
  • Support the kitchen team in plating dishes and ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Participate actively in all training sessions and demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and kitchen procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
