Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative AR/VR Developer to join our dynamic team in Warrington. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications that push the boundaries of immersive experiences. You will work on exciting projects across various sectors, from industrial training simulations to interactive consumer applications, contributing to solutions that redefine how users interact with digital content and the physical world. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy AR/VR applications using platforms like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, 3D artists, and other developers to create engaging and intuitive immersive experiences.
- Implement interactive features, user interfaces, and robust application logic for AR/VR environments.
- Optimize AR/VR applications for performance, scalability, and compatibility across various devices (e.g., Oculus, HTC Vive, HoloLens, mobile AR).
- Integrate back-end services, APIs, and real-time data into AR/VR experiences.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application stability and quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AR/VR technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C# or C++ programming languages.
- Demonstrable experience with Unity3D or Unreal Engine for AR/VR development.
- Strong understanding of 3D graphics, real-time rendering, and spatial computing concepts.
- Experience with AR SDKs (e.g., ARKit, ARCore, Vuforia) and/or VR SDKs (e.g., OpenXR, Oculus SDK).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) for AR/VR backend services.
- Knowledge of 3D modelling and animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
- Understanding of networking protocols and multiplayer AR/VR development.
- Portfolio showcasing previous AR/VR projects or prototypes.
