Job Description

Admiral Group is seeking a highly creative and experienced Art Director to join our dynamic in-house marketing team in Cardiff. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing and executing visually compelling campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and video. This role demands a strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate strategic briefs into impactful visual narratives. Working collaboratively with copywriters, marketers, and other designers, you will champion brand consistency and elevate our creative output to new heights. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and development of creative visual solutions for marketing campaigns.
• Oversee the visual style and imagery for various media, including digital ads, social content, websites, print materials, and video.
• Collaborate closely with copywriters, marketing strategists, and other designers to ensure cohesive and integrated campaigns.
• Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual assets.
• Present creative concepts to stakeholders and articulate design decisions effectively.
• Provide art direction and constructive feedback to junior designers and external agencies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to keep our creative output fresh and innovative.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as an Art Director or Senior Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Excellent conceptual thinking and visual storytelling abilities.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visual communications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced marketing or agency environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience with motion graphics or video editing software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Experience in the financial services sector, or a highly regulated industry.
• Leadership or mentorship experience.
